photo 1I’ve always liked hands on activities as a kid. It started with simple coloring books, and as I got older I expanded to try out new activities. Before I thought of art as just a side hobby, but now it’s something that is not just a hobby but a part of me.  When I entered high school I took my first art class and got to explore many new mediums and became so fascinated at the endless possibilities of creativity!

Being creative has helped me to find myself and learn new things. My friend at school, Micah, recommended One Love Generation to me and now I’m here! Recently I got to be a part of the Empty Bowls Project with OLG where we created bowls to sell and help raise money for Project Open Hand, which I really enjoyed.

What does “One Love Generation” mean to you?

One Love Generation can be interpreted in many ways, but to me it means the youth of our age accepting each other for who we are and coming together though art to discover and create new things! It is important that teens find an outlet to express themselves and that is exactly what OLG encourages.

How would you like to use your artistic gifts to contribute to the world?

I’d like to use my artistic talents to make people think and inspire others to explore their own talents.

What inspires you to make art?

I get inspiration from any random thing that interests me. Sometimes I can get inspiration from a song, a movie, a dream, or long car rides. One artist that I admire a lot is Georgia O’Keefe because I love how she incorporates nature into her pieces and the various colors she uses.
